Entrepreneur Research: How I Build This (09/24)
|
This project was all about seeing what inspired, motivated, and what challenged different entrepreneurs when they started their business. The entrepreneur I decided to do my project on was Jann Wenner because he saw an opportunity for his magazine during the 'counterculture' era. Something that I would do differently is researching more about the challenges that he faced and how he solved them.

7x7; 7 slides in 7 minutes (1o/07)
7x7 project was to create slides of a product that were only images and videos to tell a story of how that product gained popularity. The second main goal was to help the presenters speak in front of an audience and not look at the board. If I were able to change something about my project, I would have done a better job at talking in front of the class and change the layout of the slides.

WSI: World Series of Innovation (11/29)
WSI is a contest set up by NFTE where they give six global issues and young entrepreneurs have to create an innovation to help solve one of the six issues. My group focused on natural disasters, more specifically the aftermath, and what we can do to help the survivors. My group came up with a nonprofit relief program, called SafeRescue, that assist survivors by providing them resources to help regain their lives back. If I were to improve this project, I would improve on elaborating how SafeRescue works and the funding that is put into the program.

Swot Analysis (01/31)
S.W.O.T stands for strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats that a product may have. When coming up with an idea for a product it is good to think about what are the strengths and weakness: what opportunities are they presenting, and who may the competitors be.

Corporate Social Responsibility (02/12)
|
Corporate social responsibility is a business model that helps a company be social responsible towards the public, stakeholders, and itself. Our project was to research a company that we often buy from and see how they deal with corporate social responsibility (CSR). Uniqlo is a clothing store that environmental sustainable.

Ted Talk (02/19)
Our ted talk project required us to pick a topic that we wanted to talk about and give a "ted talk" to the class. My topic was about disconnecting from social media and giving yourself a limit for how long you should stay on it. This project is meant to help us be more comfortable speaking in front of an audience and to articulate the topic we are passionate about.

Business Proposal (04/6)
|
Our class was given an opportunity to create our own product/innovation/service and present it to a group of judges for the chance to get money to fund the product. My teammate and I created an app called LoveMind that is made for self-care. It provides methods that is meant to help deal with the problems our customers may experience. The app have methods other than mediation.
|
Blog for Business Proposal (04/22)
Our teacher gave us an assignment that involved writing a small piece/ blog about our product. The goal of the assignment was to improve on what to say to appeal the readers to our app. My teammate and I created a small blog to highlight what LoveMind is and how it is suitable for customers. We talked about what makes LoveMind special and different from other competitors.
